I’m delighted to invite you to a big celebration for the 10th anniversary of my blog. When Élise and I started it, we never imagined it would last this long and remain such a true passion.
Celebrating the blog’s anniversary has become a tradition with an evening out, but for the 10-year mark, I’m inviting you to a very big party on Friday, November 7th starting at 7 pm.
The idea: An evening where everyone feels welcome, with a surprise program—just like every time. You won’t be disappointed, I’m sure of it!
Please RSVP as soon as possible, by October 19th, to help me with the organization. You’ll find a registration form at the end of the article. You can also write to me at pomelilou[at]gmail[dot]com or on Facebook or Instagram.
Fee per person: €10 until October 19th, then €15. Free for those under 18. I won’t make any profit—quite the opposite, as celebrations always come with costs. Your drinks and food on-site are at your own expense.
What’s planned: Surprises, a dance floor, and a raffle (included in your entry ticket). A play area will be set up for younger guests. The venue will close at 2 AM.
Come early to enjoy the activities!
Dinner: You’ll be able to choose from the restaurant’s menu, which features traditional and seasonal Austrian cuisine. Food orders will be taken until 9 pm.
Payment: You can pay your participation fee on-site or via bank transfer. Please note that on-site payments are cash only, including for drinks. There’s an ATM right in front of the venue, but it may charge a fee.
Table reservation: If you’d like, you can give me a name and number of people, and I’ll reserve a table for you. This can be helpful if not everyone in your group or association knows each other yet.
Party location: We’ll have the event hall of the Schutzhaus Zukunft auf der Schmelz to ourselves (photos at the bottom of the article). It’s a lovely and cozy place located behind the Stadthalle, in the middle of a small garden house complex (Kleingartenverein). A real change of scenery! Link to find it on Google Maps.
How to get there:
U3 Johnstraße – a few minutes on foot
Tram 9 – Guntherstraße stop almost at the door
Tram 49 – Johnstraße stop – a few minutes on foot
Bus 48A – Panikengasse stop – a few minutes on foot
Bus 10A – Auf der Schmelz or Johnstraße stop – a few minutes on foot
Gürtel is about 15 minutes on foot (U6 Burggasse Stadthalle)
Nearby parking is paid, as everywhere in Vienna, until 10 PM. Nearby underground parking: Stadthalle, Lugner City, and Klausgasse.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to write to me!
Looking forward to seeing you on November 7th!
